How to use TicNote Standard — magnetic attachment, recording, transcription, and tips.

Quick Start Guide

1. Attach to Your Phone

   Bring the TicNote card close to the MagSafe area on the back of your iPhone (above the camera). The magnetic system automatically aligns and snaps into place — a “click” sound confirms secure attachment.

   For non-MagSafe phones (Android, older iPhones): attach the included magnetic ring to the back of your phone case first, then enjoy the same magnetic experience.

2. Start Recording

   Long press the power button for 2 seconds. The device vibrates, the OLED screen shows the recording status, and recording begins immediately.

   TicNote supports two recording modes:

   • Online mode: real-time transcription while you record
   • Offline mode: device records independently; files auto-sync to the app when reconnected

   A full charge provides 20+ hours of continuous recording.

3. Real-Time Transcription

   Open the TicNote app — your spoken words appear as text in real time, no need to wait until recording ends.

   • Supports 120+ languages (98% accuracy for Chinese/English)
   • Identifies up to 50 speakers automatically
   • Real-time translation available during recording
4. End Recording and Save

   Long press the power button for 2 seconds again. The OLED screen shows the end status and the device vibrates twice.

   Recordings are automatically saved to the cloud. Access, edit, and share them anytime in the app.

Phone Compatibility

iPhone 12 and Later

MagSafe built-in — no accessories needed. Attach directly to the back. Strong and stable magnetic force that won’t detach during running or cycling.

All Other Phones

Use the included magnetic ring. Attach it to the back of the phone case (above the camera is recommended) to enable MagSafe-equivalent magnetic attachment on any device.

Tips for Best Results

Magnetic Alignment

A clear “click” means the magnet is fully seated and secure. If you don’t hear the click, reposition the card slightly.

Online vs. Offline Recording

• Online: Real-time transcription and fast cloud sync. Best when phone is nearby.
• Offline: Device records independently without Bluetooth. Recordings sync automatically when you reconnect. Great for long recordings when you don’t need live transcription.

Optimal Sound Pickup Distance

The sweet spot is 3–5 meters. The AI noise reduction automatically filters environmental sounds (keyboards, air conditioning, background chatter).

Exporting Your Notes

After recording, tap any file in the app to access export options:

• Transcript: TXT format
• Summary: Markdown (DOCX and PDF coming soon)
• Mind map: PNG (Xmind coming soon)
