Pair Your TicNote in 3 Steps

1. Download the TicNote App

   Search TicNote in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android), then install.

   • Supports iOS 13+ and Android 8+
   • App size: ~150 MB
   • TicNote Standard and Lite share the same app — your account syncs across both devices

   When opening the app for the first time, grant microphone, Bluetooth, and notification permissions to ensure the full experience.

2. Power On and Search

   Long press the TicNote power button for 0.5 seconds to turn on. The device vibrates once as confirmation (the screen won’t change at this point).

   Then, in the app:

   1. Tap the ”+ Add Device” button on the homepage
   2. The app automatically scans for nearby TicNote devices

   Make sure your phone’s Bluetooth is enabled. Keep the device within 5 meters and avoid obstacles between the phone and device.

3. Binding Complete — Start Recording

   The app shows “Binding Successful” and the OLED display shows the waiting-to-record icon.

   Your TicNote is ready. Long press the power button for 2 seconds to start your first recording.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues

Device Cannot Be Found

• Confirm the device is charged and has sufficient battery
• Long press the power button for 15 seconds to restore factory settings (this does not delete recordings)
• Restart your phone’s Bluetooth and clear the paired devices list

Binding Failed or Keeps Disconnecting

• Ensure distance is within 5 meters with no obstructions
• Close other nearby Bluetooth devices that may cause interference
• Update the TicNote app to the latest version

App Can't Connect After Initial Binding

• Force quit and reopen the app
• Toggle phone Bluetooth off and back on
• If the issue persists, unbind the device in app settings and re-pair from scratch

After Binding

Once paired, you can:

View transcription	Open the TicNote app — text appears in real time
Use AI features	Tap the recording in the app → generate summary, mind map, translation
Reset device	Long press power button 15 seconds
