Setup & Pairing

  1. Install the TicNote app (App Store or Google Play)
  2. Press the power button 0.5 s — the OLED shows the Bluetooth icon
  3. In the app, tap ”+ Add Device” and let it scan
  4. Tap your device when it appears — done!
  5. Hold the power button 2 s to start your first recording
  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled and the device is within 5 m of your phone
  • Long press the power button for 15 s to reboot the device, then retry
  • Force quit and reopen the app
  • Toggle Bluetooth off and back on
  • Make sure you’re on the latest app version
TicNote Lite does not have a physical mode-switch (that’s a TicNote Standard feature). There is only one recording mode. The power button is the only hardware control.

Audio Quality

  • Keep the device within 1–5 m of the speakers
  • Make sure nothing is blocking the microphone openings
  • Check that the case isn’t covering the mics
  • Charge to full before long sessions
  • Check battery level in the app before recording
  • Wi-Fi quick-transfer draws power — disable it when not actively transferring
TicNote Lite’s AI noise reduction is automatic. Tips:
  • Place the device closer to the speaking source
  • Avoid positioning near fans, AC vents, or keyboards
Microphone gain is automatically managed by the AI noise reduction algorithm. There is no manual gain control on TicNote Lite.

Hardware

Push the device out gently from the bottom edge. The sleeve loosens slightly with regular use.
Contact support at support@mobvoi.com with your order number.
The magnetic field can trigger the proximity sensor on some phones. Try repositioning the card slightly.
Long press the power button for 15 seconds. The device reboots. No recordings are deleted.
Go to App Settings → Devices → [Your Lite device] → Unbind. After unbinding, the device’s local storage is cleared.
TicNote Lite stays in low-power standby (20+ days). Long pressing the power button toggles recording, not power off. This is by design to ensure you’re always ready to record.
  • Make sure you’re pressing for the full 2 seconds
  • If battery is flat, charge for 15+ minutes before trying again
  • Long press 15 s to force reboot

Charging & Battery

  • Confirm you’re using the included proprietary magnetic cable — standard USB-C won’t work
  • Check the magnetic pins for debris
  • Try a different USB power adapter
Force-sync by pulling down to refresh in the app, or toggle Bluetooth off/on.
Long press power button 15 seconds to force reboot. No data is lost.
20+ days assumes Bluetooth is idle and Wi-Fi quick-transfer is off. Enable airplane-mode-equivalent settings if you’re not using the device for extended periods.

Data & Privacy

Same as Standard: TXT (transcript), Markdown (summary), PNG (mind map), Ogg (audio).
Swipe left on any recording in the app and tap Delete, or use bulk select mode.
Data is stored on US cloud infrastructure and never used for AI model training. Hardware storage is automatically wiped after unbinding.
App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) — search TicNote.
Make sure phone and device are on the same Wi-Fi network. Toggle Wi-Fi quick-transfer in app settings, then retry.
Real-time transcription: 17 languages + 27 Chinese dialects. Post-recording translation: 120+ languages.
